Our New School Buses Are Here!
July 2, 2009
I got the following email today from Brad. Thanks for the note Brad!
Dave,
I had the pleasure of being stuck in the subdivision today while the bus barn took delivery of about 20 brand spanking new buses complete with temporary license tags and everything. They decided to parade through Mill Creek on their way to the bus barn, they came across the Dobson Rd bridge and then all backed up on Prairie Clover waiting to get into the bus barn parking lot. I could not get out of the subdivision because 10-15 buses were blocking Prairie Clover and Keslinger. I’m glad we have plenty of extra tax dollars to buy brand new buses. Excellent!
Brad
Brad, I assume you know all about our most excellent bus program from prior posts here, so there is no need to rehash my point of view here.
That being said, I can’t resist sharing this one snarky thought……….
If I had a bus barn and a fleet of brand spanking new buses, I’d park them INSIDE the bus barn garages and park the old buses outside on the lot.

Not just 20, it appears they have replaced the entire fleet. There are about 60 of them. And not an “old” one in sight.
Again, the fact that a simple 5-minute change in the bus schedule saves $300K should NOT be applauded.
The people who let the $300k of OUR tax money be wasted over the years should be fired immediately.
