Kathleen Anderson, a Republican, is running for Salt Lake County Council at-large Seat A in the Nov. 3 general election. The at-large district covers all of Salt Lake County, including Millcreek.
Anderson said on her campaign website that she is running "to bring common sense, accountability, and taxpayer respect back to County Hall." In her BallotReady questionnaire, she said her campaign focuses on support for local business, safer public spaces, honest budgeting and clean leadership.
Anderson ran for U.S. Representative in Utah's 4th Congressional District at the 2020 Republican convention and in Utah's 2nd Congressional District special election at the 2023 Republican convention, according to Wikipedia.
Four other candidates are running for the seat: Zach Robinson (Democratic), Gregory Beglarian (Constitution), Maleah Bliss Caulford (Forward Party) and Olghen Ocean Saintelus (Unaffiliated).
Candidate positions are drawn from Anderson's BallotReady questionnaire and campaign website. The Millcreek Times does not endorse any candidate.
