Lucky Dog Mobile Groomers, a national mobile dog grooming brand, has launched a Salt Lake City operation serving Millcreek and several surrounding communities.

Seth Irwin and Peter Christian are running the local operation as licensees, according to a press release published Oct. 29 by Utah Business. The service sends climate-controlled grooming vans to customers' driveways for one-on-one appointments.

Millcreek is one of more than a dozen listed service areas. The company's Salt Lake City page also names Sugar House, Holladay, Murray, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Sandy, Draper, Taylorsville and others.

Christian, a Salt Lake City resident, has spent the past 12 years working as an engineer in semiconductor manufacturing, according to the press release. Irwin's background spans business operations, hospitality, transportation and entrepreneurship.

"I look forward to being part of the neighborhoods we serve, not just a van that drives through," Irwin said in the press release.

The company offers three grooming tiers. The basic Lil' Lucky package covers a bath, blow dry, nail trim and ear cleaning but no full-body haircut. The mid-tier Lucky Charm adds a full haircut. The top-tier Lucky Lux includes oatmeal shampoo, teeth brushing and other extras.

Pricing varies by breed, size and coat condition, according to the company's website.

Most sessions take one to two hours.

The company's press release says the brand has groomed more than 100,000 dogs nationally. Its groomers hold PetSafe CPR certifications and undergo background checks, according to the company's website.

The vans operate year-round, though severe weather or unsafe road conditions may affect scheduling, the Salt Lake City page states. Irwin and Christian said in the press release they plan to expand the operation to serve more communities across the valley.
