More than 70 artists will set up booths in Evergreen Park on Saturday, August 15, selling original paintings, pottery, jewelry, glass, woodworking, and sculpture at the 8th Annual Millcreek Arts Fest. Admission is free.

The festival runs 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Historic Baldwin Radio Factory, 3474 S. 2300 E., and the adjacent park, according to the Millcreek Arts Council. Eight live acts will perform across two stages, food vendors will line the grounds, and a Kids Zone will offer hands-on art projects for families.

The all-volunteer Arts Council organizes the event each year. Rachel Becker, the council's Artist Relations Coordinator, books artists from across the country for Millcreek events. In a May interview with the Millcreek Journal about the council's Open Art Series, Becker said: "I want to make an event where everybody wants to come back."

Outdoor booth artists range from clay artist Ryan Moffett to map artist Andrew Davis of Red Rock Geospatial to henna artist Priya Neema.

Two stages, eight acts

The outdoor Evergreen Main Stage lineup: Moonshine Profts (1–2 p.m.), Apollo Jr. (3–4 p.m.), Mountain Country with Jim Fish (5–6 p.m.), and Scotty & The Daylites (7–8 p.m.).

Inside the Baldwin Radio Factory, a second stage hosts The Good Lews (noon–1 p.m.), Alli Brown (2–3 p.m.), Aeon August (4–5 p.m.), and Brother Chunky (6–7 p.m.).

Indoor exhibits

Baldwin Radio Factory tenants will open their studios during the fest. Visitors can browse work at Grotto Gallery, featuring artists Audrey Jones, Anna Landon, and Nicole Arrington, plus painter Traci O'Very Covey. Eveny Flynn will display a Baldwin history exhibit alongside paintings.

Getting there

A free shuttle will loop along Evergreen Avenue (3435 South) between three parking areas: Evergreen Jr. High (3401 S. 2000 E.), a church at 2125 E. Evergreen Ave., and a church at 2702 E. 3435 S. Look for shuttle stop signs at each lot.
