Millfreaks returns to Millcreek on Saturday, Oct. 10, launching from two starting locations for the first time as part of a packed October events calendar the city released on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

The citywide Halloween adventure runs 5 to 10 p.m. Participants grab a map and move stop to stop at their own pace, choosing between Springbar Tents at 4026 S. W. Temple St. or Olympus Hills Shopping Center at 3536 Jupiter Dr. The night ends at Millcreek Common with a finale featuring music, skating and entertainment. Tickets are required.

Two days later, the city marks Indigenous Peoples' Day with food, live music, dancing and hands-on cultural activities at the Plaza at Millcreek Common on Monday, Oct. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Día de los Muertos Ofrendas Interactive Exhibit also opens Oct. 12, running daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 31 at The Grandview on the sixth floor of Millcreek City Hall. Residents can build and display a community altar honoring loved ones who have passed.

Related workshops follow at The Grandview: a Miniature Altar Workshop on Oct. 23, an Alebrijes Workshop on Oct. 27 and a Sugar Skull Workshop on Oct. 28, all 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. An Evening with La Catrina plays Oct. 30 with shows at 7:30 and 9 p.m. The Gran Día de los Muertos Celebration closes the series Oct. 31, 5 to 10 p.m. at the Plaza.

Artisan markets rotate through Millcreek Common all month. The Intermountain Society of Artists Mini Market runs through Monday, Oct. 5, daily 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. JeniBee Mini Market follows Oct. 7 through Oct. 9.

The Bizarre Market takes over Sunday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. with vintage, art and handmade goods. Costumes are encouraged. The Mary Meigs Atwater Weavers Guild Mini Market rounds out the lineup Oct. 23 through Oct. 24.

Teens ages 13 to 19 can sign up for Common to Crag, a three-day fall break climbing adventure Oct. 15 through Oct. 17 that includes an outdoor day in Millcreek Canyon. Cost is $185; registration is at MillcreekCommon.org/commontocrag.

Prize Bingo Night lands on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 5 to 10 p.m. The Farmers Market continues every Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Plaza, with live music and SNAP benefits accepted. Free yoga runs Sundays at 9 a.m. and free Pilates at 10:30 a.m., both at The Grandview.
