A month-long market of local artists, fashion designers and makers opened Monday, Aug. 3, inside Millcreek City Hall, giving residents a free daily shopping destination at the heart of Millcreek Common through Aug. 30.

The 1330 Design Collective runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day at 1330 E. Chambers Ave., according to the city's events calendar. No tickets or registration required.

The collective functions as a public market with individual vendor booths selling handmade goods. Among the vendors is Steadfast Rebels, an upcycled fashion label offering one-of-a-kind pieces made from repurposed materials, and Venture Wear Handmade, which sells handmade fashion.

Two marquee events anchor the month. A Repair Workshop on Friday, Aug. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. will offer hands-on help mending everyday items, with volunteers and tools on-site to teach practical repair skills. A Runway Show closes out the collective on Saturday, Aug. 29, at The Grandview at Millcreek Common. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

The city promoted the collective as part of a packed August events slate that also includes the Farmers Market & Sound Bites series, Summer Jam concerts and Night Out Against Crime, according to a post on the city's official X account on Aug. 4.

The collective is located inside City Hall at 1330 E. Chambers Ave., part of the Millcreek Common corridor the city has been developing in recent years.

All events are free and open to the public. The Runway Show on Aug. 29 is the final scheduled event before the collective wraps Aug. 30.
