Older adults in the Millcreek area can sign up for a three-session program focused on mental health, self-care and community support starting in November.
"Get Empowered: Embrace Your Mental Well-Being" will run at the Millcreek Community Center on Mondays, Dec. 7 through Dec. 21, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., according to Salt Lake County's November 2026 Senior Scoop newsletter. The program teaches practical ways to support mental well-being through self-care and community resources.
An earlier run of the same program is also listed. The Senior Scoop places that Nov. 3–17 session at the Riverton Senior Center on Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A separate listing on millcreekjournal.com tags the Nov. 3–17 dates under Millcreek events. Residents interested in the November session should confirm the location before attending.
Both sessions cover understanding mental health, reducing stigma, practicing self-care strategies and connecting with community resources and support.
