Millcreek residents can still enter the city's second annual "Celebrating America" Photo Contest, with entries accepted through Friday, Aug. 28.
Winning photos will be displayed at Millcreek City Hall and honored at a city council reception, according to the city's official social media accounts.
The contest asks participants to capture what America means to them, tying into Millcreek's broader America250 programming celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary. It is open only to Millcreek residents, and each person may submit one original photograph.
The city first announced the contest on X on July 7, describing it as the second year for the competition. The submission window opened Aug. 1. On Tuesday, Aug. 18, the city posted a reminder noting entries would be accepted through Aug. 28.

No entry fee is listed in the city's announcements, and residents do not need professional equipment to participate.
